I am new to this form, I have the shotgun that is a J Stevens, it was one of my grandfathers guns. I belive it is a takedown gun, but I can't find out anything about this gun.the only markings it has say Browning patents feb 7.1905,aug 27.1907. it is a 12 gauge slide action, and the bolt locks into a square hole in the top of the sloped receiver.
I was wondering if anyone could send me some take
down information?
I would appreciate it very much.
thank you for your time

9327Browning%20Patent.jpg

9327. STEVENS - BROWNING PATENT PUMP SHOTGUN. Made by Stevens under earlier Browning Pump patents. S/N# U2238x. This gun is marked only "BROWNING PATENT - 12 GAUGE PROOF-TESTED" on the left side of 32" Full Choke barrel. Likely made for private label sale by Sears or Western Auto or Montgomery Ward. The Stevens version of this gun is the Model 520. Classic "Humpback" Browning design includes front of trigger safety and the A-5 receiver look. 14" LOP to factory butt plate. Hand checkered pistol grip stock and for-end with oil-finished fancy wood. This gun was made by Stevens from 1912 to 1932. Shoots 2-3/4" shells. Finish is about 80% and the gun is working perfectly. Fun, almost antique duck, goose and buckshot deer gun. VG. 125.00.

That sure looks like the gun, but do you know how to take it down?
I belive that mine is a take down model.
thank you for your time.
