After a wait I got this in today.(Along with his "Freebie" tin knife)

His normal Hiker has a 4" blade. Mine was made with a Connecticut legal 3 7/8inch blade. It is 8" OAL and made from 1/8" O1 with black micarta scales and red liners. I also had thumb serrations added and a lined lanyard hole. It also came with a Kydex pouch style sheath, or you can get leather(I like Kydex).

A few more shots....

So far so good. A well built stout knife. John makes quite a few outstanding carbon steel "outdoors style" knives.( And he will build your design as well)

My JK's so far, and I will be adding some more.;)

Thanks Todd; I think.

I was sitting here contented with my blades, and here you come with that one.

I do like the convex profile, and the utility of those small blades too.
And the plain carbon steel.

And I like...

Yes his knives are very very nice. He has an excellent reputation on blade.forums.

Since he doesn't take orders you gotta be quick or lucky to snag the knives he does make.

One day, I'll be lucky or quick.;) I like his EDC model.

He's a good guy. He showed me a lot of support while I was in Afghanistan.

Thanks Steve.

That tin knife is now set up with a cardboard "sheath" and attached to my magnesium fire starter.

It makes a great scraper/striker.

I hate to copy

But I just ordered one almost exactly like yours... after I saw yours Todd A... :cuss:

Should be ready in a bit. I cant wait!!! My current camping knife (ak47 bayonet) will probably never get used again... :fire:

Ahhhh....so your the one! I was talking to John yesterday about one of mine he is starting on,and he told me someone from the high road ordered a Hiker after seeing pics of mine.:)

I got to get buzy and catch up!!

Well, I have one being made this week, and another one on order for July.:) They will add a 2 3/4" blade and a 3" blade to my fixed carry rotation.

I like John's work. Maybe after these two I'll start checking out other custom makers.
