Ok, I'm not sure if it's ok to do this here on THR, but I don't see why not. I am in no way associated with these guys, just a very happy customer.
I live in southern louisiana and just recently discovered a small cast bullet manufacturer located in Thibedoux louisiana, about an hour away from my home. The company is called GAT bullets. Just Google them up. They do not have a website, but their phone number is available.
So today me and my girlfriend took a ride out there to meet them in person and pick up 1000 230 gr LRN for my .45. We called the lady, Mrs. Barbara, for a little help with directions. She was extremely friendly and welcomed us on over. They run their operation out of a small shop behind their home. So upon arrival she met us at the front door, and welcomed us straight on into her home. Mr Gary wasn't home at the time, but she was extremely friendly and fully knowledgeable. We walked back to the work shop where I drooled all over their Dillon presses while she weighed out and boxed up my order.
I'm not particularly good at writing this kind of thing, but long story short these are some of the most truly friendly people I have ever met. They have both been shooting competitively sense before I was born. We had a nice chat about local shooting clubs and events, as well as a ladies shooting class she instructs. Just absolute top notch people. As long as these folks are around I will be purchasing all of my practice bullets from them.
The great thing is, not only are they unbelievably pleasant folks to deal with, they have EXCELLENT prices. They are a small business so they do not offer a massive selection of styles, but they cover the bases pretty well. I'll not list their prices and available products here, but I urge anyone needing some good cast pills to burn up on their next range trip to look these fine folks up and give them a call. They will be more than helpful.
