Well, after over a year of searching for just the right .357 lever gun, about 3 months ago I finally put it on hold and decided the CX4 or the HiPoint carbine would fill the gap (until I find the right lever gun of course). Today while traveling from DC to St. Louis, I passed a Cabelas somewhere around Triadelphia WV. I pulled in just to have a look around, and much to my surprise, they had both! I had never handled the HiPoint and this was a good opp. for me to actually compare the two side by side. I really like the HP (for the price), and will by 1 or 2 later on down the road, but today was meant to be the day for the CX4. They had it in 9mm and .40, but no .45 and the HP in stock was 9mm. Since I'm not really a fan of 9mm, and already have a Beretta 90-two and a SAXD SC both in .40, I went with the .40 I have had a chance to field strip it and check out the various features but that's about it. WOW, if this gun shoots as well as it seems to have been engineered, I'm in for a treat. Will post pics later and eventually when I make it to the range, will post a report. Thanx for listening, I had to get the excitement off my chest
Now to ask a question. How are the ballistics/trajectory effected or different when a round is fired from this as opposed to the handgun? I cannot seem to find a side by side comparison anywhere.
