K31 from Samco or Widener's

I have been eyeballing a K31 from Samco for a while now. They have them listed at $239, but I just saw that Widener's has them available also for $195. Anyone have any experience / preference between the two??

Yes, let's hear it! I, too, have been getting ready to jump on the K31 Swiss bandwagon, and notice quite a difference in price. You owners out there, please tell us the best place to pick one up (while we still can).

Your best bet would be to call Samco and Wideners and ask for the condition of the rifles they are selling. Personally I would order from Wideners, the only ones still availible from Samco are the ones with cracked stocks.

K31

The K31's I have gotten from Wideners are great rifles.

I haven't gotten any K31's from Samco, but the mausers I have gotten from them leave a lot to be desired and I ordered their AS new or collectable grade rifles.

I did call Widener's before I orderd and asked for walnut stocked rifles and that's what they sent, they were all matching and shoot very well with surplus and commercial ammunition
