Interesting article in the NY Times about Kalashnikovs. Fun to see the Times explaining the difference between a fully automatic weapon and a semi-auto.

Seems Kalashnikov, since it was banned for import here, it's biggest market outside the Russian gov't., is looking to other marketing strategies and associated products.

The author just couldn't resist gratuitous swipes at the United States' "lenient" gun ownership laws and "where antigovernment sentiment is strong among the gun-buying public."
