For those of you that live in swing states in the map below.

Maybe we should print out PDF's of this NRA pamphlet on Obama:

Fact Sheet Web version , PDF version

And this article on in importance of SCOTUS appointments over the next four years:

http://www.wsls.com/sls/news/politi...r_impact_on_direction_of_supreme_court/15038/

and hand them out at gun shows. People need to be educated as to just how important this election is for RKBA and the Supreme Court. Then remind them that the Scotus case was 5-4 and Heller still can't get his gun.

McCain isn't perfect but, as a scientist, I have to respect his position on climate change and the ethanol boondoggle. McCains position on both of these topics are the complete polar opposite of Bush. So the nickname "McBush" is nothing short of libel when analyzing the candidates on multiple issues that are important to me. That indefensible nickname is also something that worshipers of "Obamessiah" use.

Can we dispense with the hollow and childish nicknames and focus on the single issue of RKBA? If you would like to discuss politics seriously please go here:

Go RED.... From OH-IO (We normally cheer for scarlet and grey, but red will do in a pinch) :D

BLUE ALWAYS SUCKS! Specially when mixed with maize. :what:

wacki, do you get America's First Freedom?

I just made some copies of page...aaah, I think it was around 26 or so - the "splash page" (as we comic geeks call it) of "Barack Obama's 10-point plan to CHANGE the Second Amendment."

Handed the copies out to some not-overly-politically-active friends. There was quite a bit of jaw-dropping as they saw just how "hardcore" Obama was...

Green Lantern, Are you talking about this?

Everyone who is in a remotely swing state,

If you call the NRA-ILA grass roots division at 1-800-392-8683 they will send you a box of pamphlets to hand out.

Now, the real question is how do I test my success? I plan to poll people that I talk to at gun shows but I'm not sure what is the best way to measure success empirically.

I guess I can simply count the number of draws that drop at after I inform them about Obama's history on the 2A. Seems subjective though.

Best questions I have now:
Were you aware that DC vs. Heller was 5-4 and the future of our rights hang in the makeup of the supreme court?
Were you aware of Obama's 5 mile ban which would ban almost every gun shop in the nation?
Are you aware that he voted for Ted Kennedy's .30-30 ban
Are you aware that he's made the Evil Black Rifle ban a central pillar?
Are you aware that he refused to sign the pro-2A petition to SCOTUS on DC. vs. Heller?
Are you aware that Heller still can't get a gun?

If most people I know say yes to only one or two of these then I'm certainly making progress. I don't think I need to change a whole lot of minds. I just need to scare non-political people enough so that they compound my efforts or make sure they get to the voting booth.
