I personally think that the Kel-Tec SU-16 in another caliber is one of the best idea's out there. A guy at the range (Jeff) was cracking off some Wolf .223's at 100 yards with the SU-16C series today and was making some good 3" groups. He let me have a few shots I can say this: I love the rifle, I want the rifle. But I really don't want a rifle that couldn't down a deer on the first shot. That's always been my problem with the .223, normally, you can't drop one with one shot. If you did, you used something over 60 grains and had a good hit to a vital.

I know there are other SU-16 shooters here. The rifle is just to much fun! So, could I ask some of you gents to take Kel-Tec's survey and select either "6.8 SPC", "6.5 Grendel", or any other "better" caliber rifle round? Preferably 6.8 SPC, since you can squeeze them into a STANAG magazine.

Wow this looks like a nice handy rifle.

People drop deer with .22LR, most normal sized deer I think would be fine for the .223.
