Kimber Pro Carry II vs. Pro Carry HD II ???

A quick question from a newbie. I am trying to decide between the Kimber Pro Carry II and the Kimber Pro Carry HD II. I know thw only real difference is the aluminum handle vs. the all steel one. I would appreciate any views on this topic.

Steel is heavier and more durable. The alloy model is lighter to carry. Unless you are one to whine about weight the HD makes for a better gun as it's more comfortable on extended range shoots.

This sums up everything, but to throw a wrench in the fire, you coul also look at the compact version, which is a 4" slide (same size as a Pro Carry) with a shorter grip (same size as a Ultra Carry). If I could get a a new carry weapon, I would seriously consider the Kimber Compact version.
