Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II and 9mm AMMO

I recently purchased a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II, 9mm, which I like a great deal. Very accurate and sweet shooting.

I am still in the kimber break in period (only about 250 rounds through)...but am having a terrible time with UMC bulk pack 9mm. It is nothing but failures with this ammo. I clean and lube...and still lots of FTE, FTF...etc. Stovepipes.

Fiocchi ....no problem at all. NONE. Great shooting, no failures of any kind at any time.

The difference in power between the UMC and Fiocchi 115gr FMJ is very noticable.

Question: Will this gun ever like to shoot UMC bulk 9mm? (Not concerned...but have a bunch)

And....How would it do with WWB 100 pack FMJ ammo?? (since I just purchased two packs....).

Any other inexpensive bulk, range, ammo advice?

[BTW...my Kimber Custom II .45acp shoots UMC bulk just fine...accurate and almost no failures.]

my number one suggestion is to try some wilson etm mags or tripp reaserch mags. i have used the wilsons in my .45 kimber and they worked great, the mag that came with my kimber was terrible. i also found mine did not like alot of greese, so i went with very light greese. the manual says to not use any greese but i just go very light.

My PCII 9mm shoots WWB just fine, it was broken in with it. Never tried the UMC. Never had any problems from day one, always functioned perfectly. I did some extensive mods to it-Cylinder&Slide 24-7 hammer group, SS WC ambi thumb safety and MSH/magwell, and Kimber SS grip safety and slide stop along with Kimber tactical night sights. Mostly shoot my hand loads now, but keep a good supply of WWB on hand.

Thank you for the responses, I appreciate it.

I am going to go lighter on the lube. And will be ordering new mags. I knew I would need different mags. Was going to go with Wilson Combat, might also get Metalform.

No problems at all with Fiocchi. Glad that WWB should work. Will stick to those and forget UMC. It was just a surprising difference.
