So I was wondering if anyone makes a 45ACP bolt action magazine fed or tube pistol.

My interest is killing animals as large as coyotes at close range. I was thinking .45ACP since its subsonic (By design). I want bolt action since I would use a can to muffle the sound.

Believe it or not.
A .45 ACP 230 grain bullet gives very poor terminal performance on coyotes.
Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt.

Unless you use light for caliber JHP bullets at over 1,000 FPS don't count on a clean kill.

You can kill a coyote at close range quite nicely with a .22 LR HP.

The only bolt action pistols I've seen anywhere were single shot models intended for shooting long range handgun steel silhouette competitions. And with those guns they want real sizzlers for speed to have a flatter trajectory. So the odds of finding something of that sort in .45acp are between slim and nil.

So for what you're looking for a TC Contender break action single shot is the only thing that's out there without getting into some really fancy custom work.

If you did then find a rifle that shoots a known good performing varmint round and find a leftie bolt example if you shoot handguns right handed. Or a regular righty if you shoot left handed. Cut the barrel down to whatever is legal and that at the same time gives you decent balance with a can on the front. Have it crowned and threaded for the can. Get a custom made handgun stock to suit the action. Or graft in a wood grip to the cut down rifle version.

Or just use a sling to carry a good varmint hunting rifle with a can on it. Seems to me that a sling with a rifle would be a lot easier.

Yeah the brits did, used it for a "hush puppy"
DeLis (sp) carbine, it was a shortened '03 or enfield action, mounted to a tommy gun barrel using M-3 grease gun mags.

Doesn't the T/C contender G2 come with a .45 Colt/.410 barrel with a screw in choke, so could you not have a can made that fit those screws? Or is that too little support for a can? The .45 Colt would be subsonic as well, unless handloaded hot.
