Okay, so if you only had these two options, which would you choose and why?

SA XDs 4.0 9mm vs LC9s Pro

XDs 4.0 9mm
Good: Longer sight radius, two magazines [7 and 9 rounds], decent conceal carry weight trigger, really nice feeling and angled grip.
Not so good: weighs more than most small carry guns [though it would handle recoil better than a lighter gun.

LC9s Pro
Good: Thin, light weight, cheaper price, really nice trigger.
Not so good: weight may make recoil more sharp, trigger MAY be too light for a carry gun, p, only comes with one 7 round magazine, potentially not as robust as some other carry guns [ie the XDs]. A bit of a nitpic,....but too many "protectionist billboards on the gun" [ie "read manual before use", "can be fired without magazine"].

What's your opinion? No wrong answers here, just curious what you all think about this.

Thanks!

Between those two I would probably go with XDs 4.0. Nothing wrong with the LC9s Pro but I couldn't get comfortable with the grip design and the overall ergonomics of the gun. For me the XDs would be a better fit.

Funny. I chose both.

The XDs was my first (3.3") -- a beautiful gun to hold and shoot. Quite accurate for the barrel length. It was just a tetch too big for regular concealed carry.

So I bought the LC9S Pro. Added Talon grip which hangs on beautifully and makes the gun easier to hold.It is not a gun to practice more than a box of ammunition and I cannot shoot it as accurately as the XDs (good enough for 7 yards and 10 yards with patience). It is snappy, too, but you only need to practice enough to get good and stay good. The LC9 I can carry almost anywhere anytime. It fits in a Sticky pocket holster easily. Cut the belt loop off a Sticky magazine pouch and a spare magazine fits easily in an inside sport coat theater ticket pocket.

The XDs I could shoot all day at the range and have fun.

Both have their place for the well-dressed man.
