This Saturday at 0800 the Oak Ridge Sportsman's Association is having a Civilian Marksmanship Program Service Rifle Clinic. Entry fees are low and ammunition is cheap. They'll even supply the rifle if you don't have one, but you do have to pull targets. Participation qualifes you to order rifles from the CMP inventory (M1 Garands, 1903 Springfields, P17 Enfields).

The Volunteer Rifle and Pistol Club in Knoxville will also be having a 300 yard service rifle match the same day starting at 0700.

While the same day Powell Auction will be auctioning off over 30 firearms!

Decisions, decisions, decisions

Sounds nice. Wish I could make it.

Also, ORSA has an IPSC match the same weekend over on the action pistol range (it has a different entrance gate). Get there before 9:00am, shooting starts at 9:30am. It will be a big match with seven stages.

Directions: From Hwy 95 turn Southeasterly onto Monterey Rd, it's right next to Big Turtle Park, then a left turn immediatly before the water treatment plant, then a right turn up the asphalt road.
