I shot tonight at 200 and 300 yards using a cheap plastic carpenter's square (triangle) to aim and didn't miss a single shot out of two 10 shot series. Everything, including the app worked perfectly.

Did you learn anything interesting?

Stats are very close, just a few fps different than my Oehler 35P. My current. 243 RUGER RPR load clocks single digits system over both.

I think the app really works pretty well. Adjusting from one tgt to another only took a couple sèconds and my banks are about 35 yards apart. Using the square as a sight worked pretty well. It really will be pretty easy to practice and get mvs simultaneously.

I did learn not to run Strelok, Kestrel and the Labradar at the same time. I don't think my tablet could handle both being on. So I had to manually set the weather/wind.

I forget if it was in the manual itself or in one of their youtube videos but they did indicated the sides and TOP sensors.

I updated to 1.21 the other day and so far haven’t found anything different from 1.20 using Apple.

Rather than adding apps I would much prefer they offer an improved and upgraded unit

What sort of improvements or upgrades would you look for? The only thing I can think is more sensitive radar to track smaller/faster bullets further.

As far as the app, I only wish that it didn't require GPS be active on my device in order to connect to Labradar. That's stopped me from using the app so far.

I can say for me, as much as it costs it should have an internal rechargeable battery. The only other thing I want is the ability to rename the Series name and/or an additional display field so that I can see that Series5 = "this data load"

Honestly I'm glad it doesn't take a proprietary battery. USB external batteries are everywhere now, and good ones are not that expensive.

This is an assumption on my part, but since you can download the data I would think renaming the series name could happen in Excel or on your Apple device once downloaded. Yeah, you'd need to note what is what in a note, but I don't imagine changing the names will be much of a problem if you establish a naming convention. Maybe I'm wrong.

I like the fact that with my Caldwell app, I can have the series named and all the pertinent information already entered before I even go to the range. Less for me to have to keep track of, makes my time at the range more productive.

Give them time, I'm sure they will make improvements to the app. I don't see this as a reason not to get one now.

I see 1.2.2 is out now. This is starting to be like Apple with their weekly updates!!
