Large knife

I need informed opinions about.....

.....which makes a better deal for a "micro-machete". The TOPS steel eagle (largest version) or the BK&T patrol machete?

Guys, please take price as well as quality, strength, the ability to fell small trees and self-defense against carnivorous predators as factors for consideration.
