I have to wonder what Lasermax was thinking, there.

No Lasermax internal laser planned for the 'gun of the year' 24/7, for the MilPro compacts, or for things like the CZ75B, or even Kahrs.

...but they ARE coming out with some for the Ruger P89 and P90.

Why would you go for a bargain gun and then put a $350-$400 laser in it? The laser will cost more than the gun!

errr...isn't the CZ and Taurus in the same price range as the Ruger?

Not new. I regularly see NIB P89's for barely over $300.

And still, just of all the guns out there...they did XD, good, but Ruger before all the other stuff out there being considered for serious duty work?

I think it's a pure numbers business decision. There are definatly more Ruger P series out there than 24/7's or Kahr's for that matter. That may change in a few years, but they've been making the P series since 85 or so. There are a lot of them out there.

I agree with the above poster, the Ruger's, CZ's and Tauri are all in the same price range. When you start to look at Sigs, and HK's and semi-custom 1911's, CZ's, Rugers, and Tauri are all bargain pistols.

Since the 24/7 has a tacticool rail if you want to play with cheap lasers you can start with these: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=213764

IMHO Lasermax is fatally flawed since it has no provision for adjustment. If POI is "close enough" to the laser dot you'll be fine, if not what are you gonna do?

The lasers are not bright enough to be very useful in daylight, but since my presbyoptia is so bad that night sights no longer work for me, I've Crimson Trace Lasergrips on my nightstand gun.

Rugers are inexpensive, not cheap! The ones I own, seem to be pretty well built.:D
