Anyone see "The Shield" last night? One of the sub-plots involved a woman who was being stalked/harassed. She got a handgun for self-protection (and wanted a carry permit, but was of course, denied). Anyhoo, when it came time for her to use it, was she portrayed as responsible? Heck no! She inadvertently shot a cop. What a surprise!
So depressing… Yet another biased story about the perils of civilians taking responsibility for their own protection…
(Yes, it is a show that more than fulfills my raunch quotient for the week, but there are some good storylines...)
