Lawrence brand lead shot

I was thinking about loading Lawrence brand no. 8 size lead in 1 1/8. How many shells will a 25 lbs bag load. I know I'll get about 400 shells with 17 gr of red dot. Any info would be appreciated.

There are 16 ounces in an avoirdupois pound, and 25 pounds in a bag of shot. That gives you 400 ounces of shot. The 400 ounces divided by 1.125 equals 355.55555 loads, or as wild willy says, "355".

For future reference, there are also 7000 grains in an avoirdupois pound, or 437.5 in an ounce.
