Lead bullets and autoloaders

I've loaded .380, 9mm, and .45 ACP. They all work, but 9mm was the most difficult to find something that worked reasonably well. .380 was surprisingly easy, maybe I just got lucky.

If I was going to pick a cartridge for lead it would be the .45 ACP. Proven performer with lead.

I have tried lead for 9mm and .45ACP. The 9 was marginal in that the "smoke" was way beyond acceptable with the powers that I tried. In .45ACP it has a lot more smoke than plated or jacketted, International 5g for 230 g lead round nose (almost) worked best. They are accurate and represent some savings. However, with the current prices on X-Treme plated bullets there is really not enough savings to use lead.
E-Xtreme is costing about $55 for 200 g round nose for 500
Lead was costing about $50 for 230g round nose (almost) for 500
The lead was round nose but has a "flat spot" in the center of the nose. There was no need to change the seating die for either in my case.
