Well first of all I am not Left handed. But I carry LH semi-autos. I am searched for the best tactical way to reload my SW 625 45acp firing from LH(support side). Here is my current strategy: Cross thumb over breaking firing hand grip. Engage cylinder release. Moving the right hand forward using my thumb to press the cylinder open and moving my trigger finger(RH) over to the extractor rod. Meanwhile reaching with my LH to my moonclip and returning to the firearm, tilting the revolver barrel down to help load the clip. Then closing the cylinder and re-engaging my firing grip.
Suggestions?

How do you hit the cylinder release with your thumb? I use my index finger (trigger finger) to push it and then do as you do and push the cylinder open with my right hand. The right hand controlds the gun at this point (barrel pointing up) while you grab your reload with the left. I then use my left hand to push the ejector rod (could do it with the right index finger instead, but it is tricky to get ahold of), transition to barrel down after the empties fall free, and reload. Move right hand fingers out of crane area and close cylinder with right hand while transfering gun back to left hand control.

crewzer: Sounds exactly like the technique I use. The only suggestion I can offer is to wear a band-aid on the right hand, either in the web or on the inside of the thumb, to minimize those little half-circle burns you'll pick up from the forcing cone when it heats up.

I cross my thumb over the grip breaking my firing grip. Meanwhile transitioning the right thumb to the cylinder and right trigger finger around the front of the frame into postition to catch the ejector rod
