I was going to pick things out of it and comment, but it is pretty good article regarding concealed carry and self defense with use of deadly force.

By the way, you better be able to prove you have had proper training and your license better be current and 100% legal at all times.

while training is a good idea, not every state requires it to carry a gun, nor should they.

the rest of the article is spot on. i don't agree with a lot of things Emerson says, but this is one of those rare occasions when i do. never, EVER talk to the police, unless you're being a good witness to a crime. the police aren't their to help you; their job is to enforce laws. if you ever have to answer questions, make sure to have a lawyer do it for you.
