Legality of manufacture question in MD

My limited understanding is that I can manufacture a firearm (for personal use, never to be sold) provided said firearm doesn't violate the NFA and I am not prohibited from owning a firearm.

Does anyone know if the state of MD has additional laws on the topic(other than the gun being legal to posses in the first place)?

It cant be an "Assault pistol" from the State Police's list, other than that, I havent heard of any restrictions.

If its legal in MD I would think you are OK. I wouldnt bet the ranch on that though.

If its something like an AK "pistol" then I think you are going to be at risk.

I know "assault pistols" are out, and I'm assuming pistols not on the approved handgun roster would be out.
