Leupold Red Dot Sights
SB;
The title of your thread jumped out at me! Just today, I sent an email to Leupold tech, requesting information on the EXACT same things!
I recently bought a new G-34 MOS, and I've been doing a LOT of in-depth research on Trijicon, EOTech, AimPoint, and Leupold; at one point, I would have almost bought an AimPoint "Micro", but attaching it to the G-34 would have been a bear; the G-34 came with 4 different mounting plates which are usable with maybe 6 or 7 different makes of red dot sights, (including Leupold ); I was "grudgingly" willing to cough-up the $600 (or more) for an AimPoint or an EOTech, but when I saw what the "regular" Leupolds can be had for, I may just go that way, (unless of course when Leupold tech gets back to me and tells me that the Delta Point Pro has something REALLY "great" that the others don't have......then I will probably spring for the "Pro".
If you'd like, I'll be glad to send you a PM when I hear from them and copy and paste what they tell me.
I can tell you this from prior experience; you won't find ANY maker of optics that stands behind their products or are any more knowledgeable about optics in general, than Leupold is!
The other thing that I'm very interested in, is getting a set of raised, suppressor sights for the G-34 that will co-witness with the red dot. That's actually one of the main reasons that I've narrowed my search down to Leupold; all of their red dots have a lower "housing" for the battery and circuitry than any of the other makers, making it easier to get a line-of-sight from the rear sight to the front sight, THROUGH the red dot sight.
