Good morning, everyone -
Well, sometimes you just get lucky. I find myself in imminent possession of 1.5 tons of honest-to-Pete linotype. I'm going to squirrel most of it away for special project work (the backroom boys are working on a prototype Depleted Linotype Anti-Terrorist Weapon - DLATW for short) but some will be sold.
I am contemplating the sharing of this great good fortune in 50-lb. flat-rate boxes. The THR price will be $1.40/lb., less of course the 5% THR discount. I will have it available on the webpage and probably put it up on eBay where we already have our virgin foundry lead for sale ( http://cgi.ebay.com/Bullet-Casting-...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item33523f4599 ). I'll have to figure out how to jigger the special price we're offering you from an ordering standpoint because we'll be selling it for considerably more than $1.40/lb. to the general public.
Anyhow, just a heads-up. Linotype is hard to find these days and is great for alloying up lead that's too soft or making rock-hard projectiles that shatter on impact (22 BHN.)
Have a great weekend everyone!
