Colt's evidently made a run of .38 Super LW Commanders, recently. I've thought for a long time that one would make an ideal CCW piece, so when I saw two of them side by side in a LGS display case, one followed me home. Sweetness:

Taurus .45 on the left, Colt's .38 in the middle, and Sistema .45 on the right. The irony of course, is that with the Super's South American connection, the two Brazilian and Argentine should be .45s, and the American a .38, but so it goes.

Definitely a family resemblance. Two tone and everything. That's a handsome piece.

I'm sure looking forward to trying mine out. I'm not really a fan of .45 in LW guns, and less so since I became left handed, so hopefully this is the answer. I had a steel Gov't in .38 Super, and that thing was a pussycat.

Mat, not doormat

Nice looking .38 Super you've got there. One thing I have usually done with my .38 Supers is to get a 9mm. barrel assembly and a couple of 9mm. mags., so I could practice more with less expensive (back when it was available and less expensive), 9mm. ammo.
