Went out this AM to test my new Llama sub compact. Following to report.Wolf ammo approx 3years old 20 rounds no more than 2or3 shots then jam. So tried some of the so called IQ ammo 10 rounds jam every round . Fed 230 ball also several years old no problem. Silver tips40 rounds as fast as I could reload never missed a beat. This pistol seems to like go name brand ball or the silver tips . All ammo shot approx 3 or 4 in low and about 1in to right [ Iam left handed] Groups ran around 5in off hand using my fat boy weaver stance. All in all Iam pleased with this under 300 tax included new toy. Will pick up some more silver tips today and play again tonight. Who knows couple hundred more rounds might have new belt gun and start leaving my Colts at home. Shame on me I shouldn t think way.

You say it's a new Llama? You'd probably do well not to write off the ammunition it choked on in the beginning.
Unlike the polished Kimbers and Wilsons, Llama's internals are typically left quite rough as they have an abundance of machining marks and obviously little effort from the manufacturer to clean up any of the burrs and ghastly apparitions.

Llamas definitely need a decent break-in of at least a couple hundred rounds to smooth out the action and grind down any burrs that might interfere with reliable function.

Put a few boxes of cheap ball through your Llama and give those other brands a try again. You might find the break-in brings creates a happier Llama that feeds on practically anything (like mine).

Good report, however. Keep us posted on any developments.

I knew it! The Llamas are werewolf killers!! Mine liked Winchester Silvertips too. I had it eating 165 gr Federal hydrashoks in a weekend of shooting though.
