The .32 French Long cartridge, a.k.a. the 7.65 MAS, has been long obsolete. In this video series I'll work to bring it back to life with an accurate safe handload for the French 1935A pistol.

Here in part 1 I'll take you through the load development and reloading process.

In part two I'll go out to the range and we'll see which load performs the best.

I used to reload for .32 French Longue for my S.A.C.M. 1935A using .30 Mauser, and .30 Luger FMJ bullets, and cases I bought years ago from the Old Western Scrounger. RCBS, and Redding do make die sets which contain load data. A few years ago some of my dies were lost in a move, and this was one of them unfortunately, and I haven't gotten around to replacing them yet. I used HP-38/W231 exclusively with excellent results, but I do not remember the number of grains I used, but if memory serves it was similar to .380 ACP.

If I get motivated, I'll get another set of dies, and work up some loads, as I still have the brass, and bullets. It will be nice to shoot it again.
