Is it feasible? I've never seen a die to do a star crimp... And I heard they might also use a different powder, but I don't know if there's truth to that.
I have a Yugo SKS and an M31 practice grenade. I can only get about 50 yards distance out of it with regular blanks. And grenade launching specific blanks don't seem to be available anymore. I figured if I load my own, then it might be worth it.
