Greetings folks:
Does anyone have any information about loading 410 shotshells and loading 410 slugs in particular. I've gotten some Round ball loads & wads from Ballistic Products but am having difficulty getting components especially nitrocards. Do people not load 410s.

I reload .410 shells all of the time but have never reloaded and slugs. 410 shells use a one piece shot cup. I use Clay Buster wads and usually reload Winchester or Remington 3" shells and have stuck with reloading Winchester AA's in 2 1/2". I use Hodgdon H110 and Winchester primers. I hunt squirrels, rabbits, quail, and skeet shoot with either a Mossberg 500 or my Turkish over/under.

410 slug loads

I have done some reloading for a single shot Stevens 410. It is tricky and some cussing may be involved.
I use a Speer 140 gr hollow point that I feed into the case using Unique Powder. Using 2 1/2 hull you would load as usual then place a bullet through the finger guide and in the case. Cut the case off just ahead of the bullet.
Had a friend taught me this who shot a 22/ 410 over/under and it shot great.
Have killed three deer with this load.
