Finally found the time to venture out to the range and test out my 40-9 barrel for my Glock 23, which is a gen 2. It fit just fine which I was grateful for considering I hadn't checked that out before. I ran 50 rounds of Remington UMC, 50 Fiocchi, and 50 Winchester White Box. All cycled through my gun very well with the exception of one FTE with the UMC. If you don't want to spend a lot on another barrel and don't mind the constant waiting. I was fairly impressed but I think I'm going to check out EFK Fire Dragon for my future barrel swap needs.

I have the same setup only in a gen 4 23. I went ahead and got the recoil spring bushing and gen 3 type recoil spring to replace the dual recoil spring when plinking. I didnt have any factory loaded 115 grain fmj 9mm ammo, so I tested with my loads. They feed really well, but I did nave alot of short strokeing of the slide with the factory spring. The single spring setup fixed the short stroking. I went ahead and upped the powder charge a little so the loads will work with both springs. If you are looking at different barrels then check out Storm Lake. I have one in 40s&w. The fit & finish was a little better than my lone wolfs.
