I located a range here in Ohio today that caters to long range shooters. The short range is 1,000 yds. The long range is 1 mile. The owners name is Tom Sarver. There is a benchrest shooting club there as well. He has 20 concrete shooting benches as well. He will be putting in a 600 yd berm this yr. He is VERY open to having 50 cal shooters come there and shoot. I asked him if he had any ammunition restrictions on his range. Such as tracers or AP or steel core ect. He stated you can shoot what ever you'd like to shoot here. They are going to do some varmit shoots as well up to 400 yds. The range is located in Coshocton County. Anyone interested in shooting there may contact him at the following numbers to make arrangements with him to shoot.
Home Phone: 740-545-5002
Cell Phone: 740-502-6530
He has a sweet setup there. the 1 mile range has an 8x8 target holder and a 4'x4' steel gong. What is even better <grin> it is only 45 minutes from my home!

Good to know.

I'm in Licking County, only about an hour from Coshocton. I have my own range, but I'm limited to 200-250 yards.

What do you shoot? I have been pl;aying with an Armalite AR50 50 cal.

I don't own any .50's or huge calibers yet, mainly stick to std. rifle calibers but I enjoy long range shooting. I have a couple Enfields that are setup for long-range match shooting (DCRA No4 in .308 & a Bisley rifle) that don't really pay off until you go past 300 yards.

I like any and all guns, but mainly I collect and shoot military stuff.
