What's it like to use a high quality long eye relief scope when there's poor light? Is it about as easy as using a low quality "normal" eye relief scope or does the long eye relief not pose a problem to late shooting? Every extra hour of the day that's a possible hunting hour is worth a lot and I don't want to start looking for a LER-prepared rifle if they're handicapped in that category.

I've been thinking about changing my main fudd rifle from a .30-06 mauser/sako to a .45-70 Marlin or some other high-power levergun, and scout scoping seems pretty weird, refreshing and cool so I'm looking that up.

Thanks.
