What does someone do if they have a significant collection of guns and wants to move where they are not welcome, such as Chicago, New York, D.C. for a job. What do you do for long term storage of guns? Storage units seem out of the question, they are really not very secure. Safe deposit boxes seem ideal, but they are very small and expensive. I have never seen one that would store an AR and I wouldn't want to have to carry that into a bank anyway.

What is a good alternative that gives the size of a storage unit but the safety approaching that of a safe deposit box? Does this animal even exist?

can you leave them with a family member or close friend? i know not everyone has family they would feel comfortable doing that with, i just don't think you are gonna find a closet-sized safe deposit box...

I've been in Korea for the past year with the USAF. Mine are at my families house (my brother maintains them for me). He has free reign to shoot them as long as they are cleaned afterward.

If I didn't have them nearby, I would have probably put them in a storage facility...safe and all.

i don't know if this is even fesible, but maybe you could find a good gunshop to store them. it would probably be expensive but safe. i don't like the idea of a storage facility, even with the safe.
