Look at which charges were NOT filed. Or a vote for Arkansas.

Here's a story from Arkansas from back in April.

This is western Arkansas, down around Mena, not that far north of Texarkana.

Look at all the charges which got filed, and rightly so.

But check out which ones did NOT get filed.

In western Arkansas, even an illegal-machine-owning pot farmer has the inherent right to defend his property against criminal attack.

Suspect Won't Be Charged In Shooting Deaths

Drug and weapons charges have been filed against a man believed by police to have shot and killed two people during an apparent robbery at an indoor marijuana-growing site. But they said the man will not be charged in the deaths Sunday night.

Bradley Webster of Mena was charged with possession and use of a machine gun -- simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms -- manufacturing marijuana -- first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor -- possession of drug paraphernalia -- and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Prosecutor Tim Williamson said Webster will not be charged for the deaths of 34-year-old Chris Pangle and 23-year-old Thai Flores, both of Henryetta, Oklahoma. Williamson said Webster was defending his property, even if it was illegal property.

I love Arkansas.
I will not defend the man breaking the law. The law is the law and its there for a reason. So I am told. I am happy to see they arent charging him with murder.
The simultaneous possesion of drugs and firearms is really going to hurt, though. Carries a heavy weight in AR. One of my inmates currently incarcerated cought a 28 year sentece for it. Of course he wont be locked up for all 28. More like 7.5.
