Hello all. I'm new to THR and am hoping someone can help me out. I am looking for a source of 7x57 RN FMJ 173gr bullets to load. Hey, they were good enough for Bell and Corbett, they are good enough for me. Any ideas?

Any 7 mm bullet will work and 175 gr. are available although I don't load them that heavy myself.

A 140 gr. Nosler Partition in front of 50 gr. of IMR 4350 served me well for over 30 years including a 2 week plains game hunt in Africa.

It's a curiosity/nostalgia thing. I would never use them on game, just fun. I will be taking my Ruger #1 in 7x57 to Africa in July and Nosler Partitions are on the menu.

I had these up for sale recently as they are taking up space, PM me if you're interested.

.284 Sierra GameKing 175gr HPBT QTY. 100

.284 Rem Core-Lokt 150gr SPFB QTY. 50

Sierra used to make a 170gr RN. I found a box several years ago gathering dust on a shop shelf with a 15yr old price.... ($7). They came home with me.

They shoot excellent through my 7mm08.

Like others posted, most of the blunt/heavy bullets are gone. I'd just load up some 175gr of the cheapest variety you can find.

You can even run some of the cast bullets to ~2,200fps w/o leading, so, you might look there.
