So anyway if I need 3.5” for turkey and or ducks then people can eliminate the V3 and A300.

The 3.5" 12 gauge round came to be in 1988.
I'm pretty sure they killed a lot of turkey and ducks prior to that year.

I understand wanting the capability if desired (I am currently facing a similar decision but with different guns), but don't think it is necessary.

Benelli makes fine shotguns.
Some would say they are better than the others you are considering, some would say not as good.
Nobody could honestly say they are $500 better.

If they aren’t $500 better than no need to drop the extra dough then. Frankly I’m function, performance, and reliability. I don’t care what name is on it nor do I care how well it’s put together like if it has burrs here and there and minion things that take away from appearance but not from function then I couldn’t care less honestly. Like I told my dad the other day if someone but reliable shotgun innerds inside a dog turd, sold it for cheap, and it would last a lifetime I’d own it.

I use 2 3/4 for hunting everything dove quail rabbit squirrel pheasant ducks geese Turkey and deer In an older light 12 a-5 or rem model 11. Never been any worse or better than any hunting buddies with 3 or 3 1/2 shells

Got another question, do inertia driven shotguns like the benellis handle going back and forth between light 1oz 2.75” shells to the 3” hard hitting shells flawlessly like the gas guns will or do the inertia ones occasionally have any feed issues? Do you have to change anything in the gun to go back and forth between the loads like I do my old Franchi?

I have a new Browning A5 and it is amazing. It is light, well balanced, low felt recoil and reliable so far and I hit really well with it. And it looks great.

My friend hunts with an M2 field. I think it is a short bbl youth model. He loves it and is absolutely deadly on quail. I know it fits him because I watched him use other guns and he is at least 2 seconds faster with the M2. L remember thinking :shoot, shoot" when he used a semiauto S&W. He would finally shoot and most of the times miss.

Like many of today's shotgun hunters/shooters, I wouldn't buy any shotgun that doesn't have choke tubes. That said, some really nice shotguns can be had for not much money because they don't have tubes. If the barrels are choked the way you like them, find a nice light gun that meets your needs and pocketbook.
