Looking for accuracy loads for 45acp, 44mag, and 9mm

I am looking for a starting point for accuracy loads for the following.

S&W 625 5" 45acp
Glock 41 5.5" 45ACP
Glock 34 Gen 5 9mm

Any help would be appreciated

my G41 likes a 230gr acme RN over 5.5grs of 231

If you look at the online nossler data they indicate the best of each of their test loads, and the best overall. Your not going to get better than that till you adjust for your platform.

Unique makes great 45acp loads.
I haven't found a great 9mm load with unique, yet.
What I would do is:
Unique and or HP38 for 45acp
HS6 maybe HP38 and 9mm
HS6 or long shot and 44mag

For 45 acp I prefer Bullseye or W-231 for accuracy. For 9x19 BE-86 has been working well, Accurate #5 is another favorite of mine for this cartridge though W-231 should not be over looked.

My most accurate loads use Bullseye, but I have also gotten some good groups using Unique and 231. For target loads I use the Hensley & Gibbs 68, 78, and 130 bullets. I do have to adjust the load depending upon if they are tumble lubed with Alox, conventional lube, or powder coated.

I really don't shoot many jacketed other than SD or hunting loads which I usually go with upper end loads and a 230gr HP. Those usually get an upper end load with AA5 or BE86.

I have two 1911's and a G41 that goes hog hunting or rides along with me while I'm mowing on the tractor. Never know when a fat hog will get up outta a tall bunch of grass thinking it's sneaking away. All shoot the same loads relatively close and plenty close enough for a critter, no matter its stance.

5.0 Grs W-231/HP-38, Precision Delta 230 Gr RN @ 1.260/1.265 OAL. If it doesn't shoot well, your gun's broken.

Work up to it.

I like HP38/W231 for .45. 4.7 to 5.0 gr with a 230gr bullet has always shot well for me.

I haven't has any SR7625 in a while (and of course they no longer make it) but if I remember correctly it made nice mid range loads in 9mm with cast/coated lead bullets.

Yeah I got a 4lb square metal can from my late uncles stuff, stored inside etc. It shoots fine. I’ve shot about have of it up. Makes a nice hardball level 45 load.

Unique is great for 44 and 45 caliber. You just need to find the sweet spot. My son and i had my SBH out today. We were shooting 200 grain cast with 8 grains of unique. We were shooting a rim at 35 yards. One miss after fatigue set in. Nice soft play load. We also took my black hawk with the 10mm cyl in it. 180 grain cast with 6 grains of universal. They were putting holes in the rim.

I'd suggest looking for the universal load data or most common load data for a cartridge. For example, a 45-230 accuracy load is 5gr BE (sometimes 4gr for others). Stay within the load data range but work around this load. My best OAL is 1.270". For a 9-115 and 124 LTC bullet, a common accuracy load is 4.2gr AA2. Mines is 4.4gr AA2. For 9-124TC, a common accuracy load is 3.6gr BE. That load has worked for me with an OAL 1.10". I found online that someone claims that 9-124LRN loaded with 5.3gr Longshot duplicates the Winchester White Box ammo. Good Luck, Be Safe, and Have Fun..

I shot some .45acp today from my 625
The most accurate load I tried was 3.5grs of trail boss and 200gr Acme swc. Bullet probably going 600-650fps. All the bullets were touching at 25 yards and the gun recoiled like a 22haha.
