Greetings to all,
First off i don't really know if this is truly the right place but is seems most appropriate.
I'm not looking for a smith to repair of build a gun for me. Instead I am looking for possible sponsors for an apprenticeship. but frankly i don't know enough re who's who to know where to even start with contacting anyone.
beyound asking for help in finding someone or at least leads on who does what in the area, i am unsure what information i relay to you good folks. here's what i can think of
I'm currently setup with The Association of Gunsmiths And Related Trades to coordinate and administer an appreticeship and my "apprenticeship coordinator" has told me letters have already been sent to two 'smiths (vandenberg custom and cherokee rifles) in the area. But i've been encouraged to look for other gunsmiths to contact so that a place can be found that much quicker.
If at all possible i'd like to find someone on the south side of town, simply b/c that would more likely allow me to commute from home rather than having to make other arangements, as well as allowing me to remain in my current Machinist classes at the local comm. college.
Not sure whatelse i cna tell you but will answer any questions asked.
