Looking For New 9 mm CZ

My P-01 is my favorite gun. The closest thing to a negative is that there isn't a lot slide to grip when racking because it rides inside the frame rathe than over it. This hasn't caused me any trouble...I've never had a problem gripping and racking the slide, but I suppose it could be an issue for some people...I guess.

There are also very good clones. I have a Witness elite match. 4.75" barrel, single action only, frame safety. Around 600 $.

I have a CZ p 09 in 9 mm and it is a very nice gun. The only drawback for me are the factrory sights butthat just may be my eyesight. I'll be adding a fiber optic front sight in the future. Recoil is easy on the hands, take down and cleaning are easy and it just feels good.

I would say either the P-07 or P-09 due to the fact that they are a bit less expensive . . . but moreso because they seem to be easier to find right now. I have both and both are great guns!

The CZ line of pistols are a wonderful value for what you get. Except for the Phantom which is no longer imported, everyone shown was in the $450 to $500 ballpark. Just purchased a P-09 that I got for $451, just waiting for it to come in as well as a rare find of a NIB Phantom which was $633. :neener: I've seen NIB Phantoms on GunBroker.com go as high as a $1000 due to CZ decision to stop importing them. But most seem to hover around $750 to $800 mark. :what:

Clance,

Is that a 85c trigger on your BD Police? I've thought about doing that to mine as well.

Yes. The original was a serrated target style trigger that was eating up my finger. As soon as I stop buying CZs I'll have the PCR trigger changed out as well seeing that it's serrated as well. :cuss:

A Dremel will help with the ridges for now. That way, you won't have to stop buying CZ's.............;)

Thought about that, just concerned about slipping and gouging the finish.

I purchased a CZ B parts kit (minus frame) to put a full size slide and barrel on the PCR. Actually looked good and same size as the BHP, but decided just to purchase the BD at that point.

Anyway I had a smooth trigger with the part purchase and decided to have it installed on the BD. So I took it to a local gun shop where I thought it would be easy enough for them to install. Apparently it was more then they felt comfortable to handle, so after 3 months they finally pass it off to another gunsmith.

So one day I walk into the local gun shop which informed me that they sent it to this gunsmith, which in turn sent it to CZ to have the triggered installed.

When I got the BD back it wasn't the same trigger that I provided so I figured that the last gunsmith muff it up seeing I know others who have taken handguns to him and had let's say some misfortunes.

I didn't really care at that point seeing CZ did the installation, corrected any problems and in the end didn't cost me a thing after all that! :D

That sounds like a good deal clance.

I have got a RRK kits from CGW that has a smooth trigger in the kit. Just have not tackled breaking the PCR down yet to install.

My CZ dilemma

I have the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical - to me the crème de le crème - But I like the P-01 and the RAMI. I would like to own both also or one...but I am stuck in the mindset of they would just be two smaller versions of what I already have...sigh...what's a fella to do ? LOL

Buy them both lol. They get very addicting.

I have 3 CZs plus a Turk clone.

I still have more on my list.

New P07

SDP with safety

75 B Ω (didn't give this one much thought before as I have a 75 transitional but today, for the first time I realized it has the upswept beaver tail so now I want it lol)

RAMI BD with tritium

40B sent out for NP3

100 (yes the trigger is Sigma-ish but it's still a cool gun and would be nice to have their first poly, even if it was a commercial flop).

Even after those there are other cousins I want lol.

Sar K2/45

Baby Eagle poly full size .40

Witness Elite Limited

Witness steel 10mm compact
