"For most of the membership here on the forum the name Chip Breeze (known on the internet as "Witherspoon") needs no introduction. From our inception he supported LTW and its members. He was a law enforcement officer for the Caroline County Sheriff's Department for thirty years and prior to his passing was a full time officer for the Bowling Green Police Department. He was also a gentleman of the highest standards. It seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. A couple friends of his JR Munsey and Al Shear, both police officers who shared a beat with Chip talked to us here at LTW and came up with a project to honor Chip's life, his family, and his profession. Within a short time JR Munsey donated a stainless steel Caspian frame and a carbon steel Caspian slide. These were the beginnings of a fine pistol. And we could not wait to get started.

Then it came to the question of who was going to work on and finish this project. Fortunate for all of us we have guys like Chuck Rogers, Don Williams, John Harrison, and a friend of Chip's and a great smith Dave Sams who all jumped at the chance participated in putting together a gun in which the proceeds will go to Chip's son Justin. Justin is a college student struggling to get by and educate himself. His father provided guidance and a blueprint for this young man to be successful.

We have done a number of project guns, charity guns, and other small endeavors that fulfill our mission statement by providing relief to people who are not as fortunate as most of us here at LTW. However, we rarely meet the people who benefit by these projects. A couple of years ago we did a similar project for one of the icons in our industry Terry Tussey. Terry had suffered a horrible accident that took him away from his bench for quite some time. That was special because most of us knew Terry and what kind of person he was. Well, this one is also special because again most of us knew Chip Breeze and more importantly what kind of human being he was. Always willing to help someone, support a good cause, and never hesitated to jump in a patrol car and take care of business. However, this one is also leaves a little lump in our collective throats because this is the first project we have done for someone who has passed away.

Needless to say on behalf of all of us at LTW who build the guns, maintain the website, organize the projects and so forth, it is an honor to be a part of doing something that will ultimately benefit Justin Breeze, and done in remembrance of his father Chip "Witherspoon" Breeze.

The pictures will tell a better story but as I stated earlier the base components are a stainless Caspian frame and carbon steel slide. The gun has the very popular and functional "golf ball" treatment by Chuck Rogers along with a number of the detailed modifications Chuck is famous for. The machine work and other modifications were done by John Harrison, Don Williams, and Dave Sams. The guns sports a pair of VZ double diamond micarta stocks by John Van Zyck, a Kart barrel, CMC grip safety, flat topped and serrated slide top, CMC grip safety, match grade trigger components, with the final fit and finish done at Heirloom Precision. This package will come with an IBS holster from John Ralston of 5 Shot Leather and a corresponding mag pouch. It is obviously a classic two tone offering in remembrance of classic man filled with character and who dedicated his life to law enforcement and to helping others. It seems thing have come full circle.

The gun will be offered via a silent auction. The auction will start on Friday October 10th at 12:00p.m. MST. and end on Monday October 13th at 8:00p.m. MST. Please PM me with your bids and I will post the latest bids without a name attached. Once the auction is over I will post the winner's name. The final payment details will be worked out that week.
There is a reserve of $2000.00 on this pistol."

If anyone has been wanting an LTW gun, this is THE ONE to get!
No waiting and no luck(this is not a raffle) required.
Just bid high and bid often!
:)
This is a full-house beauty.
A similar gun from the LTW smiths would set you back well over $5000 and you'd have to patiently wait through several Christmasses.
:D
And again, all the money goes to help a fine young man through college.
