I was looking at the Colt LW Commander back in 2011 and bought the Dan Wesson CCO .45ACP instead and could not have been more satisfied in the decision, even to this day. Everything about the CCO spoke to me about real quality parts and workmanship, something that at the time, I found very inconsistent with Colt manufacturing. I hear Colt is 'better' these days, that's a positive. However, the DW alternative would still be my choice to take a serious look at.

I have an older CBOB that I have been very pleased with over the years. I have not looked at any DW guns since. I’ll look at their alloy framed Commander pistols. Thanks for the tip.
