is there a way to sharpen the attachments? seems like the deburr/primer cleaner and chamfering tools are getting dull. i have ran thousands of brass over them. can you sharpen them or just get new ones? thanks

You can resharpen steel cutters like chamfering tools and trimmers with a fine India stone.
Just maintain the same angles.

Primer pocket cleaners, probably not so much, although I have no idea what yours looks like.

I don't mean to get to far off the subject, but I have been looking for someone that has the Lyman. Have you ever had any problems with it? I have an RCBS and have replaced one and now the motor on the replacement is starting to growl.

RCBS reluctantly replaced the first one, but I'm not sure if they will do it again. I do use it a lot and this last one is only 2 years old. Maybe I'm expeting too much out of it.

Is the RPM a good speed to preform all the functions? I would assume that all the heads will screw out for replacement, but wondering if the threading allows tools from other manufacturers to be used?

One gets spoiled using these tools to take care of all the menial jobs which are required in handloading and besides, my hands and fingers don't seem to work as good as they used to.

I use mostly Lyman tool heads in my RCBS center. They fit perfectly and are more efficient than the RBCS ones.

I have a good cordless drill. I use it for primarily neck turning, but feel that it is hard to keep square for most other functions. Besides that, I like to take one case at a time and finish it and move to the next. Also rechucking each case is a lot more time consuming than just moving from station to station especially if you are doing 100 or so cases in one sitting.

I do like my RCBS and was just curious about the lyman. I also wonder how the hornady works, although by looking at the pics, it seems quite bulky.

i love it. kinda loud but i dont mind. i like going from station to station. igotit cause it was cheaper and came with the attachments. i would believe that rcbs will fit on it.
