Okay I was just over at the test forum and I was able to post my photo. Anyway I just got back my M28 with 4" bl. I had the 6" done a few weeks ago. It's called Polykote. The guns are Parkarized and then a polymer coat is applied. Very sturdy finish. I plan on having the other M28 re-blued. Just to be traditional. I own a M27 which I plan on leaving alone, but my 28's are shooters.

Nice. I had a beater M28 bead blasted blue, but left the trigger and hammer in the white. The PO had had the whole thing done in a really cheap blue.

I am about to send a beater M15 off to Tripp Research to be hard chromed.

Here it is.

It ran me $140.00 per gun. The six inch model took approximately a month because the shop that I took it to had gotten a Navy contract. He was refinishing several thousand M-4 carbines. The four inch model only took a couple of weeks. According to the specs the polykote finish is the second most durable finish there is after stainless steel. I figured it was worth the money.

It looks cool, but it's very strange to see a revolver looking like that. I like it though.
