M&P holster search

Been looking at an M&P 4.25" at my LGS I can pick up pretty cheap. But, he only has one kydex owb holster in stock for it that I do not like. If it was a Glock 19, I could choose from 10 different ones....

Who makes good owb holsters for the M&P?

Will the M&P fit/work in any other holsters made for different guns?

Lucky for you. Most gun stores stock a selection of generally poor quality holsters.

Just about everybody makes a kydex holster for the M&P. Some kydex options.

They may, but don't do it. Since nearly everybody makes a holster for the M&P, there is no reason to buy an "almost" holster. Fit, especially with kydex, is too important.

I you want leather, there are as many or more options.

Outside of the Glock and 1911, the M&P line-up probably has more holster options than just about anything else.

Don't forget the hybrids like Crossbreed or Alien Gear carry like leather on the skin side, molded Kydex on the outside. My problem is most "quality" leather holsters I couldn't conceal without the gun, YMMV.
