Well, today I made the time to finally load up some 115 grain lead RN bullets for the nice Kahr/Thompson M1Carbine that my company was nice enough to buy for me a few months ago.
I loaded with 12 grains of 2400 (one of my favorite powders) and got excellent accuracy and 100% cycling of the bolt. I didn't shoot for formal accuracy, using the 30-round magazine's charge to make the steel swingers flip around on my backyard range.
Leading was minimal: 2 swipes with Hoppes and it was gone, then another couple of wet/dry cycles.
Anybody else loading lead for the Carbine? What a fun gun!
Brad
ps - my company was kind enough to also buy me a fine Kahr/Thompson 1928 Deluxe, with the 50-round drum last month. It's also a hoot with cheap lead ammo! Zero recoil and minimal magazine changes!
pps - I love my company!
