I just got my M1 restocked and rebarreled It all looks great. Now the bad, it now shoots 8"high at 100yds even if I bottom out my sights. Does eny one know a fix.

Boyds commercial stock isnt it?
The barrel channel in the stock is to narrow and is keeping the barrel from dropping down into the channel.
You need to remove alittle wood on each side

There ya go problem solved!
I can not understand why a company cannot make a Garand stock that is not oversized and is a drop in fit

Can I ask who did the work?

Garand was rebarreled ,it should have been shot to test for function and accuracy. Its a easy fix but I would still bring it to the attention of the person who did the work, and I would look for another gunsmith

The barrel and stock was put on by diffent people. I call the barrel guy and he told me to take a litte wood offthe top forend by the receiver.

Stop!!! Look at the picture I posted. The one on the right would be what your stock looks like. The one on the left is what you want it to look like.
Take a utility knife, wood chisel or something to remove the wood as shown. This will let the barrel drop down into the channel.
After removing enough wood, sand smooth and apply BLO or Tung oil over the bare wood
