M14 Questions/Opinions

Hey guys,

I've been wanting to get a M14 for awhile. Any opinions on what I should stay away from?

I found a guy that has two for sale. The highlights are posted below. Is $1250ea reasonable for them?

1) -Fulton armory receiver (nice)
-22" SAI bbl (new)
-USGI Bolt, Trigger Group, & Birch Stock

2) -Armscorp receiver
-Criterion chrome lined bbl(nice
-USGI Bolt, Op Rod, Trigger Group

If i were you i spend the extra $400.- (or so) and by a new Springfield, you can check out the models on their website.

I was wondering about those too.

Are they good quality and do they hold their value?

Until a couple years ago when Armscorp went out of business,Fulton receivers were made by Armscorp,as I recall.Either one sounds like a nice rifle,and is surely worth the asking price.A Springfield does have the added benefit of a lifetime warranty,and is something to consider.A new Springfield is unlikely to contain many USGI parts.
