I found an mostly complete M16A1 upper. Its basickly a complete upper reciever but It is missing its bolt, carrier, and cocking handle, and has no buttstock. Its in great condition but I think its overpriced how much do you think it is worth?

Buttstocks are not normally found on uppers, so the absence of one would not really contribute to it's incompleteness.

A complete M16A1 upper but without BCG and charging handle currently sells for $250-300 in excellent condition.

What the man said. I put one together for about four hundred and use it on a Mega lower. Great shooter.

Oops I don't know why I mentioned the butt stock those go on the lower :)

I know I can get a bolt, carrier and cocking handle cheap but they want $400 for the upper....which I feel is too much.

Maybe I can talk them down, but it is what I am looking for and I like to try to buy local.

Take it easy

If you have a registered m16a1 lower receiver waiting for this upper,
what's another $400?

I would pass.

Ohio Ordnance has had ads in the Shotgun News for awhile now for brand new Colt M16A1 take off uppers. They sell for $310 with no bolt carrier or charging handle. I built a rifle with one of the take off uppers that have been on the market the last couple years. It's a great shooter.

I checked ohio ordinance but they are on back order...

does sarco still have M16A1 parts kits? I think they where around $400 for a complete parts kit less the reciever.
