Just happened:

BREAKING NEWS : An unidentified stabbing victim was brought to Emerson Hospital in Concord early this morning and pronounced dead at 8:12 a.m., said Bonnie Goldsmith, a hospital spokeswoman. Police and investigators from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office are at the school, according to spokesman Corey Welford. Welford would not provide any more details or describe what type of incident took place. However, CBS-4 TV news is reporting that a 17-year-old student is dead. --Developing

What's that? No gun, and yet there was violence and a fatality?

I mention this because I want people to pay attention when Deval Patrick and all next hold a press conference and decry the evils of gun violence and blame other states for guns. They will give examples of "guns causing murders", but this incident will be completely and deliberately omitted.
 
i am not going to get off kennedy's case until he prevents those hapless youth from so much as bringing a toothbrush, the handle of which might be sharpened into a device of immeasurable destruction, into their schools. the only writing utensils will be feather pens plucked from the hind of the softest bird, and scissors, paper-cutters, and even the hefty metal hole-punch (which makes a convenient club) will all be vanquished to assure the safety of our future. wall sockets will have happy face blocks to prevent electrocution, and we will have licensed professionals to wipe the students' asses to prevent bathroom drownings. phys ed is hereby banned, as it encourages a competetive (read: violent) nature and the strenuous activity could result in harm. did i forget anything?

Well, that doesn't mean the 17 year old student is really, really, really dead. Afterall, we all know that to be really, really, really dead, one must have been murdered by a gun.

As this kid was murdered by a knife, he is only kinda dead. :uhoh:
