Machine washable cleaning mat

Hi, all,

Does anyone make a machine-washable cleaning mat? I just put a permanent crease trying to machine-wash mine.

I use rubber truck mats. Wipes off clean with whatever I have at hand.

My Alan whatever his name is(I am not at home at the moment ) mat gets washed quite regularly . no problems just wash it in the delicate cycle with the wife gone for those married folks and rinse the washer out afterwards.gun oil tends to leave a ring around the washer ...

I put an old terry cloth towel folded in two on my gun cleaning area and wash it when it needs it.

Why don't you do the same on top of your cleaning mat? Keep mat clean, wash towel as needed. Also, towels are very absorbant so no little oily areas, and dirt and grit are easy to see and avoid ( I use light or faded colors).

You know those tabloid-sized free papers packed to the rafters with leftist extremist opinion and advertisements for telephone sex and hookers in the back pages?

They're perfect for cleaning guns on: very absorbent, and you feel good about throwing them away.

I use a Remington mat purchased from Cabela's. Says it's washable. I was in Sears the other day and looked at their tool chest drawer liners-I think they might work also.

I finally found my cleaning mat in all places the reloading room , its a bob allen mat , I think it cost me around 10 bucks if I remember right .
